Corinne Dodge

 

resides in Derry, N.H. She is a retired school teacher, having taught children with multiple and severe disabilities since 1970. She worked in the P.E.A.C.H Program in the Derry School District and developed the A.P.P.L.E. Program at the Rochester Middle School. Currently she works as a massage therapist and does massage therapy for teenagers with autism at Easter Seals in Manchester.

 

In 1992, while teaching children in Derry, she participated in the 7th grade art curriculum along with her students.

It was then that she first discovered her interest and abilities in drawing. She later went on to take art courses at

the N.H. Institute of Arts & Sciences, E. W. Poore, and the College for Lifelong Learning. She worked for a number

of years under the mentorship of Pamela Kennedy, a well established Pen & Ink artist now residing and working on the West Coast.

 

Corinne works in a variety of mediums: Pen & Ink, Watercolor, Graphite, and Colored Pencil. Her subject matter is also varied. Beach rocks, trees, and water are a favorite. Other subjects include landscapes, portraits, and occasionally, abstract. Her work has received numerous awards from the Greater Derry Arts Council, Manchester Art in the Park Fine Arts Festival, N.H. Division of Parks and Recreation, and Londonderry Art on the Common.
